I moved here from Virginia Beach in 2017, and its been a long search for someone to get my cut and color both right. GLENN is in a class all alone. The absolute best Master hair stylist I’ve ever had. I took a chance with Glenn, and the chance completely paid off. His salon is a beautiful relaxing cozy little shop that he has fixed up beautifully. Just all around spa atmosphere. Glenn is a blessing to all he meets. Kind caring soul. I have incredibly difficult hair…a TON of it, naturally curly/kinky and the individual hair strands are thin. The worst combination. I can’t tell you how many stylists have thought they could blow dry it out, but failed. Let me begin by saying, if you can’t blow out my hair, I’m not going to see what else you can or can’t do. Glenn is a master colorist. In his 40 years, he has learned everything you can imagine about color and what works. I can’t believe how he weaves in the highlights and makes my hair look naturally highlighted. His handiwork is amazing. He is someone who could clean up any mess you bring him.

He has remodeled the downstairs at his Clemmons home, creating a beautiful, tranquil hair studio. I love to relax while he does my hair and watch the deer roam outside. He has done everything to make this the most peaceful, remarkable space for his clients. The atmosphere is spa-like.

Glenn is an amazing person. I feel so blessed to know him, and look forward to seeing him every 3 weeks. I moved from Winston-Salem to Elkin, NC and now travel almost an hour each way to have Glenn take care of my hair. I have no plans of changing. When you’ve finally found “the best,” you stay. Glenn is a master hair artist, who takes the time to listen to your hair needs, offers advice, teaches you how to take care of your hair, and works wonders with your hair. I first came to the hair studio with curly, frizzy, and damaged hair and left with beautifully colored hair, not to mention it was so soft and shiny. He had totally transformed my hair! His products are the best, and he is so very knowledgeable about all types of hair. In the past after getting my hair done, I left unhappy with how my hair looked, but now whenever I leave Glenn David’s Hair Studio, I LOVE my hair every single time! After my previous stylist retired, I had tried another local salon for a color, cut and style. The results were horrendous! My hair was axed and gapped, the color was an awful drab grayish purple and I was literally in despair. I was embarrassed to go out in public and had cried for days. Thankfully, when I found Glenn, he was able to see me within the week.

When I met with Glenn for my free consultation, he spent over an hour with me, gently reassuring me that over time my hair would grow back and that he could help make it manageable during the transition. Over the next few months, Glenn and I talked at each visit about color customization, ways to nurture my recovering hair, and cut and styling techniques to get me back on track. Glenn came up with a beautiful customized color blend for me that was what I had always wanted. Again, he took time and effort to make my salon experience individualized, and he always made me feel safe and certain that he would make my hair the best it can be. Finally, I had found a stylist who loves the artistry of his work and cares about his patrons. I love my hair now!

I have been with Glenn for almost three years now, and I am so grateful I found him. He is funny, sweet and has a wonderful spirit that truly cares about helping people be their best. He goes out of his way to make each visit special, from offering tea/coffee/drinks/snacks, to blankets if you are chilly, to little stools to rest your feet while under the dryer. There are so many special touches. The salon itself is a quiet haven that is beautifully decorated. You can sit and watch the little birds outside at feeders and sometimes see a chipmunk scurry by. It is so nice, nestled on ground floor of his home in a wooded area. No usual loud and boisterous salon environment -so the opposite!

From my first experience to current is that I am sitting before a rare gifted artist and my hair is his canvas. If you watch the way he brushes your hair, stands back and looks and ask you what you are looking to achieve…rest assured he has visualized the masterpiece. Trust him, listen to him, ask what he would like to do is very key to your satisfaction and outcome. As he colors your hair it is an unique experience as he mingles and paints the colors that are best suited to your skin tone and eye color. Then watching him cut your style is beholding a master of his craft designing the best cut for you. He is not a “Cookie Cutter” designer/artist. I have very long hair and it never looks like anyone else style but my own. Glenn has this addictive hair gloss after coloring if you allow him to apply will have you addicted after seeing the outcome. It’s lasts a while and your hair looks so vibrate and healthy. I drive from Virginia and will not let anyone else touch my hair. My job in travel plus Covid put me months behind in color and cuts. I would not let anyone else cut or color my hair for the 9 months and suffered through it. He is worth the wait to get the personal service. Glenn has the incredible gift of remembering you, your cut and style, likes and dislikes and personally things about you that you have shared job, family etc…Believe me when I say he is worth your investment into yourself. We all have been through a tough time the past year or maybe in life. When you arrive at his salon it is nestled in a most serene wooded area with nature and a peaceful environment. He is awesome with a God-given talent & my hair has never looked healthier, better or been easier to manage. We always have a detailed conversation when I want a change in color or cut so there are no surprises. He is truly a master with color, making it look very natural & giving me exactly what we discussed would be best. The cut is always just as good as the color. He gives great instructions & demonstrations while styling my hair so I can duplicate the look myself.
